Description
Critical funding, such as sponsorship, ensures our effort to preserve and celebrate this 150+ year tradition. Established in 1870, May Day celebrated and pride in our city and its community. New Westminster children in grades 2 through 5 participate in Folk and May Pole dances, the crowning of the May Queen, and public speaking. Additional entertainment is delivered through performances from dance troupes in and around our city – recognizing and celebrating the diversity that surrounds us.
May Day 2022 highlights:
